Skincare Tips:
1. Cleanse Daily
⦁ Morning and Night: Use a gentle cleanser that best fits your skin type to help remove dirt, oil and makeup. (Check out our glowingkoala Face and Body Gentle Cleanser. Trust me, it's amazing!)
⦁ Avoid Over-Cleansing: Over-cleansing can strip your skin of natural oils, leading to dryness and irritation.
2. Moisturize Regularly
⦁ Hydrate: Apply moisturizer after cleansing to lock in moisture. Choose one that matches your skin type (ex: oil-free for oily skin, richer formula for dry skin.) At glowingkoala we have it all!
⦁ Don't Skip: Even oily skin needs moisture; opt for a lightweight, not too heavy on the skin moisturizer.
3. Sun Protection
⦁ Daily Sunscreen: Use- broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every day.
⦁ Reapply: Reapply sunscreen every two hours if you're outside, and more often if swimming or sweating.
4. Stay hydrated
⦁ Drink Water: Adequate hydration is crucial for maintaining skin elasticity and promoting a healthy complexion.
⦁ Eating Hydrating Foods: Include fruits and vegetables with high water content in your diet.
5. Exfoliate Wisely
⦁ Gentle Exfoliation: Exfoliate 1-2 times a week to remove dead skin cells and promote cell turnover. Avoid harsh scrubs that can irritate the skin. (one of my personal favorites is a DIY coffee scrub using ground coffee, olive oil and brown sugar).
⦁ Chemical Exfoliants: Consider AHA (alpha-hydroxy acids) or BHA (beta-hydroxy acids) for a more even exfoliation.
6. Healthy Diet
⦁ Balanced Nutrition: Eat a diet rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants (like vitamin C, E, and omega-3 fatty acids) to support skin health.
⦁ Limit Sugar and Processed Foods: These can contribute to breakouts and dull skin.
7. Get Enough Sleep
⦁ Beauty Sleep: Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night to allow your skin time to repair and regenerate.
⦁ Manage Stress: Stress can trigger skin issues like acne and eczema, so practice stress-reducing activities like exercise, reading a book, walking etc.
8. Avoid touching your face
⦁ Hands Off: Keep your hands away from your face to avoid transferring bacteria and oil, which can lead to breakouts.
9. Customize Your Routine
⦁ Know Your Skin Type: Understand your skin type (dry, oily, combination, sensitive) and tailor your skincare products accordingly.
⦁ Patch Test New Products: Always test new products on a small area of skin to check for reactions before applying them to your face.
10. Consistency is Key
⦁ Stick to a Routine: Consistent daily care, even if it's simple, is more effective and will help give you the results to make your skin glow with natural radiance.
*These tips are fundamental, but you can adapt them based on your specific skin needs or concerns*
